Periodic Training

The Driver CPC training (Certificate of Professional Competence) is aimed at professional drivers who drive passenger carrying vehicles, or large goods vehicles throughout Europe and the UK. Driver CPC was created as a requirement of the EU Directive 2003\59, which is intended to increase the knowledge and skills of Passenger carrying vehicles and Large Goods Vehicles drivers throughout the duration of their career.

There are two distinct and separate parts to the legislation: The first being the CPC Qualification that must be attained by Large good and Passenger carrying vehicle drivers alongside their existing vocational licence in order to enable them to drive for commercial purposes, The second provision is the requirement for periodic training, every five years professional LGV and PSV drivers must undergo 35 hours of training to remain qualified.
