The 2007 Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act became a part UK law on April the 6th 2008, it represented a significant change to the law.

This legislation means it is now easier to hold businesses, coorporations and other organisational bodies legally acountable for failures and negligence relating to the management of Health and Safety which result in death. There is now much more clarity concerning criminal liability for serious health and safety failures which result in a breach to the duty of care.
